Actress Halle Berry poses next to her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in front of the Kodak Theater
Halle Berry, AN ACCOMPLISHED Hollywood Star has an Emmy, a Golden Globe on her resume and in 2001 was the first black recipient of the Academy’s Best Actress Award for her role alongside Billy Bob Thornton in Monster’s Ball.  Now she has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Berry received the 2,333rd Hollywood Walk of Fame star in a ceremony Tuesday in front of the Kodak Theatre.
Many of you will remember me killing the powers that be for granting Vanessa Williams a Star on the Walk of Fame. Well this news is proof that I was right.  Ladies and gentilemen Halle Berry represents an accomplished Hollywood Star. In addition to making history with Monster’s Ball, Berry is an accomplished model including several Covergirl spreads and she won an Emmy and a Golden Globe for her title role in Introducing Dorothy Dandridge, an OUTSTANDING film. Although she’s done some doozies like Baps and has left much to be desired in her roles in the X-Men trilogy, her BODY
of work speaks for itself.
Someone PLEASE explain how Vanessa Williams can even hold a candle to Ms. Berry and how that joker got a star before Halle? What awards has Williams acquired? Ms America…revoked so it doesn’t count. This is amazing! And you wanted to kill me for making the point several weeks ago. Don’t get me wrong I love Vanessa Williams I mean look at her she’s incredibly beautiful but can she really be mentioned in the same breath as Halle Berry? I think not.

- Highbrid Nation » Blog Archive » Halle denies her interview with Parade Magazine includes comments about Suicide
[…] Just another sad chapter in the history of my resident top 5 fantasy wife. I reported last month that Halle was moving on in her life and was happy with her blanquito model boyfriend. She even received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame last week. But As much as I love her though I can’t really see her as too credible. I know the media has a tendency to lie but honestly Halle often makes bad decisions, I wouldn’t doubt she made loose comments in the interview and Parade just capitolized on them. […]
- Highbrid Nation » Blog Archive » Forest Whitaker Gets Star on Walk of Fame. Is Vanessa Williams on his level?
[…] Recently you, The Nation, has critisized me for saying that Vanessa Williams, although a talented actor, was not deserving of receiving a star on the walk of fame, especially not ahead of Academy Award winning Halle Berry or the most recent recipient, Academy Award winner Forest Whitaker. […]

If I didnt know better I’d think Vanessa had done something to you personally. Though Halle has an Oscar, Vanessa has been nominated for Oscars, Tonys and I’m sure she’s gonna get an Emmy for Ugly Betty. In the end its kinda apples and oranges. One thing that is for certain is that stars are pretty much paid for. If your people want you to have a star they just have to donate a certain amount of money the the commitee aproves you. Hell, Donald Trump just got a star (also before Halle) and he’s done nothing in the entertainment field
Basically its a joke. She should be honored regardless of her financial contribution but based on merrit. She made BLACK HISTORY with Monster’s Ball. I’ve never once stated I’m not a Vanessa Williams fan however she’s not deserving of a star on the walk of fame. Just like Don Mattingly isn’t a hall of famer. He’s a great player and loved by most but not deserving.
