I was looking around the internet for information on the new Transformers movie and I came across something pretty interesting. The makers of the Transformers toys has partnered with Nike and they have come up with Tranformers that turn in sneakers. That’s right, sneakers. Nike Free 7.0 to be exact. The toys seem to only be availible in Japan and even come in packaging that looks like a Nike shoe box. One of the odder features of the toys is that Megatron and Optimus Prime are wearing the shoes they turn into on thier feet, lol. guess when you are a robot weighing seval tons comfort is very important.

Part of me wants to say that these toys are pretty cool. Another part of me wants to say “what’s the effing point?” Would you guys have liked a transformer that turned into some kicks when you were a kid? If anything this is probably just be appriciated as unique marketing. One thing that is for sure is the Nike Free Megatron almost looks better then the one from the upcoming movie.
