Remember back in 2004 when the lovely Halle Berry proclaimed on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” that she would never marry again after breaking it off with her cheating husband Eric Benet? Aight I’ll admit I didn’t actually watch the episode but I heard about it. I think every man heard about it and realized there might be a glimmer of hope for them to slip in and be Berry’s potential suitor.

Well she’s sticking to her word. In the April issue of InStyle magazine, Berry said that she’s ready for a serious relationship but still vows not to marry. Berry’s misfortune with men have been well documented. In addition to the failed marriage with Benet, she also divorced her first husband, former Atlanta Braves Outfielder David “Flatnose” Justice in 1996 following a four year relationship.

Currently the actress is dating 31-year-old Canadian model Gabriel Aubry. The two have been an item since 2005 when the met on the set of a Versace ad. Prior to Aubry, Berry was seeing actor Michael Ealy (Barbershop.) She told InStyle that “it wasn’t that I didn’t want to be in a relationship, it’s just that I thought it would be okay to be on my own. [Aubry] was disarmingly sweet and caring and different. In the past I’ve been attracted to big personalities. Gabriel was shy. He hardly talked to me at first.”

Take notes fellas cause we all know from her past this won’t last. But according to the article Aubrey’s “Hard to Get” approach was what did the trick. “I had to work at this a little,” she says. “It wasn’t a slam dunk; it wasn’t the guy just showering affection on me. It made it more interesting.” Ah Hah! So be the shy guy and you’re in the there.
