Rumors have been floating around for a while but it seems like a new XBox 360 is coming soon. Gaming site Kotaku got thier hands on a page from an upcoming issue of Game Informer due to hit stands soon (page pictured above). In the magazine the much rumors black 360 is revealed. The black unit is not only a color swap but an upgrade to the current availible SKU. Below you will find some of the facts about the new system provided by Joystiq. What is odd though is that the new 360 doesn’t have things you would expect them to include in an upgrade like built in WiFi and a HD-DVD player.
- Uh, it’s black
- HDMI port and HDMI cable
- 120GB hard drive (thats a lot of storage space. Microsoft is already on record saying that thier current 20GB HDD is more than enough.
- A $479 price tag (Are you serious? We are approaching PS3 prices here.)
- No HD-DVD integration (How can this not be included?)
- The 120GB hard drive will be available for under $200
- It’s coming in “late April” ( I’d expect to hear something official soon)
At least it looks cool.
