A Hollywood man and his girlfriend have filed a lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs, alleging the Puffy assaulted them at a Teddy’s, a Hollywood nightclub.

Los Angeles Superior Court documents state that the alleged victim, Gerard Rechnitzer, is seeking unspecified compensatory and punitive damages.

Rechnitzer, 27, claims he and his girlfriend ran into Combs at the club, inside the Roosevelt Hotel on Feb. 25. According to the lawsuit, Combs was spitting game at Rechnitzer’s girlfriend when Rechnitzer approached Diddy. Puffy then yelled at Rechnitzer “in a threatening and ominous” manor the suit claims.

Combs then attacked, assaulted and battered Rechnitzer, according to court documents, causing him to fly backwards and hit a parked car. The suit further says that Combs pushed Rechnitzer’s girlfriend and “attempted to spit on another female member” of Rechnitzer’s group.

Combs lawyer said “It’s just another example of an opportunist seeking to fabricate a lawsuit based on a flat-out lie to try to take advantage of Mr. Combs’ celebrity status,” he said in a statement.

Is this another case of someone trying to exploit a celebrity? It’s so easy now-a-days to file a fake lawsuit against a star yet its even easier to use the defense that “i’m only being accused because of my star status.”
