Grand Wizard Theodore is widely credited as the inventor of scratching. In the 1980s, Theodore was a part of the band Grand Wizard Theodore & the Fantastic Five They released “Can I Get a Soul Clap” in 1980. He was also featured in the 1983 film Wild Style, as well as contributing to the film’s soundtrack. Theodore gets the most respect from me from any of the DJ pioneers because of the fact that he’s still relevant today. Unlike Grandmaster Flash or DJ Herc, Grand Master Theodore not only still looks the part he plays it. Step into a club where Theodore’s on the wheels and you won’t ever know the difference. RESPECT!
