Recently the FDA approved a new weight-lose drug for over-the-counter use called Alli. This marks the first time the FDA has approved a weight lose drug for purchase without prescription.

Alli is a repackaged form of the prescription drug Orlistat which has been prescribed by doctors for years to help patients battle obesity. So does it work? Actually it does. Its not a miracle drug by any means and the results for most people will be slim. The drug’s website claims up to 50% more weight lose on top of what you’d already lose though dieting and excercise but most tests show that the average person will only lose an extra pound or so a month. Something is better than nothing though right? Not if you count the side effects. The most common side effect accociated with Alli is severe “loose @$$”. Thats right, you might sh*t on yourself. You might find your self running around in diapers like a certain astronaut that has been in the news lately. Repeated trips to the bathroom and constant passing gas are also part of the side effects. So is a little weight lose worth such embarassment? Any money this drug will be selling like hot cakes.
