New Street Fighter Movie In The Works

Some people may remember the old Street Fighter film starring Jean-Claude Van Damme as Guile. Those same people may also remember that the film was not very good. However, that has not stopped Capcom from anouncing that they are planning to do another live action Street Fighter. This time having the story revolve around the first “thick chick” of video games, Chun Li. So far there are only a few solid details about the project. Hyde Park Entertainment has been enlisted to handle production and a screen play is being done by Justin Marks (who is also working on a Voltron script). Capcom hopes to have the film in theatres by 2008 which is also the 20th Aniversary of Street Fighter 2 (yeh its been that long).
Evorgleb: Don’t have too much faith in a great live action Street Fighter. Not after the debacle which was the last one. If you all want a great Street Fighter movie, check out the Japanese anime. And I don’t see them finding an actress that really looks like Chun Li. Homegirl was a asian woman with some thinkness, lol.

we all know how I get in cats chest in Street fighter but thats neither here nor there…anyway, im not sure where that pic is from i stumbled upon it. not sure if its official or fan art.

oh and if you can’t find anyone chinese try some japanese girl, there are plenty of cosplayers that look ALMOST as hot as chun-li
