Better than the Best.

Jrdan and Woods Best of thier kind

What would cause arguably the “Best Athlete Ever” to say, “No golf at all, I am putting the sticks away and getting away from golf for awhile.”? After eight wins this year, a win streak longer than the golf course he plays on, or 50 Cents enemy list, an eight-shot margin at the WGC American Express Championship at The Grove in England early Sunday, and his domination of this sport, why would he leave for a while?

After another great year in golf for 2006, Tiger Woods decided to rest for a while because he never got the chance to completely grieve his father’s death back in May. A similar situation happened to the other arguably “Best Athlete EverMichael Jordan back in 1993 when his father was murdered. “It is a horrible ordeal to lose your father, especially if they are so close to you and support you through out your career.” says psychologist Dr. Gina Colbert. “When a person so close is taken from you, you are sent into a downward spiral. You need to rest, you need to grieve, or else you may cause serious mental complications.” says Dr. Gary F. Winston. Fathers are a very important part of a son’s life, both Jordan and Woods were quoted in saying how their father’s were true inspirations in their lives and they would not be where they were with out them. Like Jordan, Woods will return to his sport after he gets to “exhale” a little.

E. Night: “I respect both of these men they are what caused me to watch these sports, but I cannot relate to their pain unfortunately. I posted this hoping males will understand how important it is to actually raise your kids and not just make them and pay the mother.”

Is a golfer really an athlete? Thats like calling a NASCAR driver an athlete. Its not really physical. it’s more skill than physical ability. However with that said, Tiger is the best. I don’t think anyone will be mad at him for taking some time off to mourn his father.
