Alien Vs. Predator 2 has been given the the greenlight and and is looking to better carve out its demographic. The second go-round between the Xenomorphs and the Yautja will likely have more blood, more gore and a R rating. The last film had a PG-13 rating and was mostly slammed by critics, though loved by many hardcore fans. 20th Century Fox is looking to give those hardcore fans more of what they want and are promising something “Very R rated”. The fim will star Reiko Aylesworth and will be directed by the Strause Brothers who have gone on record saying that they like to take the franchise back to its gritty violent roots. AVP2 will be relesed sometime in 2007.
Evorgleb: Critics really hated the first movie but I loved it. I thought it was great and is one of my favorite movies. I wouldn’t mind seeing some more gore though. I hate the way Hollywood tries to make evOrything PG-13 these days. Anyone remember in the first Predator when ya boy Action Jackson got his arm blasted off and it was still shooting the gun it was holding? Ahh, R rated goodness
