The controversial and long running Boondocks comic strip will becoming to an end soon. Universal Press Syndicate anounced Monday that the series, which has been in reruns since March, would come to an end in November. It was originally thought that Aaron MrGruder, the comic’s creator, would return to the strip in October after taking a sabatical to work on the Boondocks animated series but that seems to no longer be the case. Universal decided to end the series after not being able to get McGruder to commit to a return but still hopes to work with McGruder again in the future. McGruder will still be involved with the animated series which has been picked up for a second season on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim block.
