Last April D12’s Proof was gunned down in a Detroit nightclub. As the hip hop community mourned over the loss of the fallen emcee, authorities had taken Mario Etheridge into custody charges revolving around the shooting. Etheridge was charged with posession of a concealed weapon and discharging a firearm in an occupied building but was not charged with murder. The reason he was not charged with murder is apparantly Proof opened fire shooting Etheridge’s cousin, Keith Bender, even before getting shot himself. However details revealed later showed that Etheridge was the first to pull out a gun and shot warning shots into the air to stop the fight between Proof and Bender but likely only provoked Proof to pull out his own weapon. Regardless, Etheridge has been found guilty of the charges against him and may face a maximum of five years. However Etheridge has no prior criminal convictions and may only get probation. Sentencing for Mario Etheridge will take place October 17th.

Evorgleb: This is a odd situation where its hard not to believe that Proof may have been responsible for his own death. However, without being there myself, its hard to say.
