Â Â Â Â -New York City-Â Â The 179th street entrance to the George Washington Bridge in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan was closed intermediately due to a movie shoot Monday morning. Dozens of 1970 style muscle cars were parked under the upper level bridge overpass in between 178th and 179th streets. Workers with the crew reported that the movie’s title will be “American Muscle”, a 70’s style picture. Directed by Ridley Scott, the film’s cast is reported to include Denzel Washington,Â Russell Crowe, Josh Brolin, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Carla Gugino, Ted Levine, John Ortiz, Yul Vazquez, as well as rappers Common, TI, and RZA,. The storyÂ concerns Harlem drug kingpin Frank Lucas (Washington), who smuggled heroin in the body bags of U.S. soldiers slain in Vietnam. Brolin plays Det. Trupo, a crooked NYPD cop who piggybacks on the Lucas investigation conducted by Det. Ritchie Roberts (Crowe), accordingÂ to Movieweb.com.
