Steve Jobs shows off new Shuffle

Today (Setember 12th) at an event in San Francisco, Apple had some major anouncements about its iPod line of products. Steve Jobs himself took to the stage at the show and made the official anouncement about the iTunes movie download service for we reported on a few days ago and stated new movies would cost $12.99 and older titles would be $9.99. Steve also said that video games would be availible for download and reveiled a list which included such classic titles as Pac-Man and Tetris. Those in attendance were also given the first look at upcoming iPod models which included a stamp sized Shuffle, an 80GB iPod Video (for $349) and a new thinner version of the Nano in five different colors.

Movies were added to iTunes seemingly right as the words came out of Job’s mouth but there is no news on when the new iPod models will be availible.

Evorgleb: 80GB?! I can’t even fill up my 60GB. And that shuffle is almost too small. I give Apple a lot of credit though because they aren’t tryin to give up any market share anytime soon and are keeping thier line fresh and new.
