Antonio Tarver, the Lightweight Champion of the World, is about to take on his greatest challenge to date, Rocky Balboa. The anticipated Rocky sequel, Rocky Balboa, is arriving in theatres December 22, 2006, 30 years after the original release of the underdog story of Rocky.
When a computer generated simulation answers the question “Who is the greatest boxer of all times.” It picks a now retired Rocky Balboa over the current champion, Mason ‘The Line’ Dixon and this raises eyebrows. Mason wanting to prove himself the best, challenges Rocky and he declines. Mason, using tactics that are not honorable, forces Rocky to fight.

The movie is written, directed and produced by no other than Sylvester Stallone. This will not be his first time in the director’s chair or in the writer’s guild, Sly is the one who kept the dream alive for Rocky after the first movie. He brought us the rematch with Apollo Creed in Rocky II, the friendship formed when Apollo trains Rocky against the likes of Mr. T and Hulk Hogan in Rocky III, then the death of Apollo Creed and Rock avenging him when he fights Ivan Drago in Rocky IV, Rocky being betrayed by his new protoge, and adjusting to a life of bankrupcy in Rocky V. Unfortuantly, Sage Stallone, son of Sylvester Stallone will not be back to play Rocky Balboa Jr. due to prior obligations.

The movie Rocky Balboa, stars, the original two, Sylvester Stallone, Burt Young, with newcomer Antonio Tarver and a special guest appearance by Michael Buffer.

E. Night: I am some what interested in seeing what he can do now, Sly is 60 years old and stepping back into the ring. What is next, Rambo IV…..oh yeah that is coming in 2007 I forgot. Guess what it is directed, produced, written and starring, yeah you guessed it, Sylvester Stallone, Who better to keep you career going other than yourself, but that is another story.
