On Aug 30th Ludacris and the rest of the DTP crew held a concert in New York City. The concert was part of Cingular’s Sounds Live concert series. The concert was recorded but will only availible to watch by Cingular costumers on cellular phones. Luda commented saying, “It seems like almost everyone has a personal cell phone today, from parents to teenagers, and this is such a great way to connect with our audience directly. In many ways, it’s almost like having your own private concert”. This is not the first time Cingular has held such an event for the purpose of providing content for thier phone service. Daddy Yankee, Jamie Foxx, LeToya, Rihanna and the Pussycat Dolls have all been part of the concert series.

Evorgleb: I guess this is a cool idea but seems a little gimicky. Cell phone batteries only last a few hours. I’d rather use the power in my phone’s battery to actually make phone calls. On the other hand, maybe it wont be as obvious how silly Ludacris’ new haircut looks on the small screen.
