Six years ago a group of young men came together and founded the brand known as Highbrid. It all started with the merging of the indie record label Strife Entertainment and the production company Illist Productions creating Highbrid Entertainment (the name Highbrid, a play on the word “hybrid”, comes from the idea of these two companies forming one company). Highbrid Entertainment went on to release several projects including 2003’s Biogenesis album. Later several of the founding members went and founded another company called Highbrid Outdoor which provides new and inovative advertising solutions in the New York City area. Last but not least, Highbrid Nation was created as a third pillar turning the Highbrid brand into a media powerhouse. Today Highbrid celebrates turning 6 years old with members and staff of Highbrid meeting in Conneticut for a company retreat. With things going the way they are now you can expect that the Highbrid machine will not be slowing down and will be celebrating many many more birthdays to come.
